<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an object extracting processing apparatus which supports effectively the visual recognition of a minute object irrespective of the reflection of a sunlight by a minute sea surface. <P>SOLUTION: The object extracting processing apparatus having an object extracting means for extracting a position where an luminance value changes steeply as a target image from the image captured by an imaging apparatus includes a position information collecting means for collecting the positional information of the imaging apparatus, a line-of-sight information collecting means for collecting the line-of-sight information on the imaging apparatus, a speed information collecting means for collecting wind velocity information in the vicinity of sea surface, a sun position calculating means for calculating the position of the sun seen from the imaging apparatus based on the positional information of the present time of day and imaging apparatus, a reflective region calculating means for calculating the range of the reflecting region where the reflected image of the sun by the sea surface enters with the intensity of a predetermined threshold value or more in the optical axis direction of the imaging apparatus based on the obtained position of the sun, the positional information and the collected speed information about the imaging apparatus, and a mask means for stopping processing by the object extracting means about each pixel contained in the reflective region obtained by the reflection region calculating means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
