<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk device in which collision between an optical disk and an optical pickup caused by an external action during a non-operating condition is prevented and occurrence of damage on the optical disk and the optical pickup caused by the collision is effectively avoided. <P>SOLUTION: A stand-by position, where the objective lens 33 of an optical pickup 3 deviates from the recording region of an optical disk D, is arranged on the moving path of the optical pickup 3 which is moved and guided by a guide rail 30 disposed along the one surface of the optical disk D rotating around the shaft center by the rotation of a rotating spindle 2. When the optical pickup 3 is moved to the stand-by position, an engaging protrusion 50 provided on the optical pickup 3 climbs over a leaf spring 51 mounted on the bottom surface of a housing 1, the engaging protrusion 50 is elastically engaged with the leaf spring 51 and the movement of the optical pickup 3 is regulated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
