<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical scanner in which the deterioration of performance is suppressed by suppressing the temperature rise of LDs and the relative positional deviation of optical members is prevented by reducing the thermal deformation of a base member even when LDs are provided in an optical scanner, and to provide an image forming apparatus equipped with the optical scanner. <P>SOLUTION: In the optical scanner, a base member 40 is composed of a flat plate part 40a which is horizontally fixed on a case 53 and a first erected part 40b and a second erected part 40c which are vertically projected from one end of the flat plate part 40a, and the second erected part 40c is composed to be projected from an open part 60 out of the apparatus as a heat radiation part. Thus, the environment temperature rise in the vicinity of LDs 41a through 41c is suppressed, the deterioration of performance of the LDs is prevented and the thermal deformation of the base member 40 itself is reduced. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
