<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photoreceptor drum unit capable of preventing the hand or the like from touching the exposed part of a photoreceptor drum when the photoreceptor drum unit is detached from an image forming apparatus body. <P>SOLUTION: The photoreceptor drum unit 3 is provided with: a drum frame 30; a photoreceptor drum 31 pivotally supported by the drum frame 30 so that part of a peripheral face is exposed; and a drum cover 39 turnably supported by the drum frame 30. The photoreceptor drum unit 3 is horizontally detached from one side of the apparatus body 1a of the image forming apparatus. In synchronous with the attachment of the photoreceptor drum unit 3 to the apparatus body 1a of the apparatus, the drum cover 39 turns to an opening position where the optical path of exposure rays emitted to the exposed part of the photoreceptor drum 31 is not intercepted. In synchronism with the detachment of the photoreceptor drum unit 3 from the apparatus body 1a of the apparatus, the drum cover 39 turns in the closing position in which the exposed part of the photoreceptor drum 31 is covered. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
