PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device having high tone number which can be expressed and capable of smoothly expressing an edge of a halftone dot, and to provide an image forming program for making a computer operate like the image forming device. SOLUTION: In the image forming device 2, kinds of halftone dots to be recordable by a printer 19 can be increased and the number of tone can be made high compared with a case for recording one kind of a dot in optical density without enlarging a size of a dither matrix as pixel density of each pixel of intermediate half tone image data is to be quantized so that a sickly dot 32 having low optical density is to be recorded at an edge portion of the halftone dot 30 compared with high density dot 31 to be recorded at the central portion of the halftone dot 30.
