PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the mist of liquid droplet discharged from a liquid spray head toward an area outside the workpiece. SOLUTION: A liquid injection device is provided with a liquid injection head 12 discharging liquid from a nozzle opening of a nozzle plate 17, a scanning mechanism scanning the liquid injection head 12 in a head scanning direction, a sending mechanism transporting the workpiece 6, a platen 5 specifying the position toward the liquid injection head 12 supporting the workpiece 6 from the back and electrically insulating from the surrounding, an absorbing component 16 installed in the platen 5 and absorbing the liquid discharged toward the area outside the workpiece 6, and a potential difference generating means 20, 21, 22 generating the potential difference between at least either the absorbing component 16 or a component adjoining the absorbing component and the nozzle plate 17.
