PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image information processing method for enhancing reproducibility in a dot picture. SOLUTION: An image information processor 100 corrects dot picture information relative to the dot picture which is outputted from an image output part 6 to a recording medium. The processor comprises: an edge part detecting means (e.g., a control part 1) for detecting the edge part of the dots constituting the dot picture and the edge part of an area where a plurality of the dots are superimposed, on the basis of the dot picture information; a gradation information acquiring means (e.g., the control part 1) for acquiring gradation information of the image to be outputted to the recording medium, on the basis of image forming characteristic information of the recording medium; and an edge part density setting means (e.g., the control part 1) for setting the density of a pixel relative to the edge part of the dot and the edge part of the area, on the basis of the acquired gradation information.
