PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a meter lighting structure capable of suppressing uneven lighting to improve the luminance while providing a good appearance quality in a finished state. SOLUTION: In this meter lighting structure, a dial 15 to be provided on a combination meter 101 for vehicle is constituted by laminating a plurality of print layers on a side surface of a transparent base material 6, and the illuminating light of an LED 11 provided on the reverse side of the dial 15 is emitted from the reverse side of the dial 15 and transmitted through transmitting slits 9a and 9a provided in a part of a light shielding black print layer 9 formed on the surface side of the base material 6. The print layers of the base material 6 are laminated on the reverse side of the dial 15, the layer closest to the LED 11 of the print layers is formed in white color, and a lower housing member 10 having a reflecting surface part 10a is attached to the opposed surface of the LED 11-side layer.
