摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor cooling structure that can further be improved in cooling efficiency by multiplier action that reduces thermal resistance existing between a cooling liquid and a coil end, and in addition, cools the coil end while keeping the flow rate of the cooling liquid. SOLUTION: A stator 5 of a synchronous motor having the coil ends 8a, 8b protruded on the stator axial direction comprises: hermetically sealed circumferential cooling passages 10, 11 in which at least part of the coil ends 8a, 8b and the cooling liquid are contact directly with each other; an axial cooling passage 12 arranged in a stator axial direction; and communication passages 13, 14 connected to the axial cooling passage 12 while keeping the sealing of the circumferential cooling passages 10, 11. A stator coil 8 is cooled by leading the cooling liquids to both the cooling passages 10, 11 and the cooling passage 12, and the communication passages 13, 14. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
