PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably provide a high-performance laminated magnetic head without the track shift in a narrow track. SOLUTION: After a pair of core halves are joined so as to be integrated, a second groove for regulating the track width is formed in a first groove formed in advance, using a tool permitting fine and high precision processing, so that the track width is regulated. Using this method, because only a track part is narrowed to the desired width while constituting the thickness of a magnetic layer as that of the conventional, the problem of the deterioration in the characteristics due to the thinning of the magnetic layer is solved, and the characteristics can be further improved according to the effect of the narrowed magnetic flux.
