PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protective member for preventing or reducing damage or breakage of a floor face even if high pressure is applied thereto. SOLUTION: The protective member formed of at least two layers piled upon each other is constituted such that a high hardness layer formed of material higher in hardness than the back layer forming a back face which faces the floor face to be protected, exists in the layer other than the back layer out of at least two layers. The high hardness layer may form the surface. The back layer may be formed of a foam resin material. The back layer may be formed of an embossed sheet-like or plate-like member.
