<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surgical ultrasonic treatment instrument easier to use and excellent in operability. <P>SOLUTION: The surgical ultrasonic treatment instrument is equipped with a handpiece unit 4 having a long insertion part inserted into a body cavity and an operating part as a part at hand held by an operator by gripping or the like, and a probe unit 6 including a small vibrator 5 provided on a tip of the insertion part of the handpiece unit 4.
