<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and system to establish synchronization of channels between a transmitter and a receiver connected by channels capable of carrying out accurate clock extraction and channels incapable of that. <P>SOLUTION: The clock is transmitted from a master clock 44 of the transmitter 10 to the receiver 20 through a classic channel 52, and replicated at the receiver 20. The clock is transmitted from a quantum unit 1 to a quantum unit 2 through a quantum channel 41 with strong light. A synchronizer 4 on a sending side synchronizes the replicated clock with a clock detected at the quantum unit 1, and generates a calibrated clock. A synchronizer 3 on a receiving side synchronizes a clock detected at the classic channel 52 with a clock detected at the quantum unit 2 at the receiver 20, and generates the calibrated clock as well. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
