<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain highly precise address detection against cross talks between adjacent recording tracks on a disk shaped recording medium having address information recorded by wobbling at least on a single side wall of the tracks. <P>SOLUTION: For the FM modulated signals obtained by FM modulating the ADIP data after Bi-phase modulating them for example, one track is completed in a data bit unit, and the sync signals are made not to come close each other in the adjacent tracks. According to this arrangement, the number of waves of the wobble signals become the same between the adjacent tracks, and the phases of the wobble signals can be prevented from becoming opposite between the adjacent tracks.
