EXHAUST EMISSION CONTROL DEVICE FOR ENGINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust emission control device for an engine capable of washing only an exhaust passage where a reducing agent is deposited.

SOLUTION: The exhaust emission control device for the engine is provided with a reduction catalyst 5 arranged in an exhaust pipe system of the engine to reduce nitrogen oxides in exhaust gas with the reducing agent, and a spray nozzle 7 for supplying the reducing agent in the exhaust upstream of the reduction catalyst 5 in an exhaust pipe 3 of the exhaust pipe system. A partition plate 18 is detachably provided for intercepting a partial exhaust pipe 12 where the reducing agent supplied into the exhaust pipe 3 is deposited, from a second muffler 13 with a built-in catalyst with at least the reduction catalyst 5 disposed. The partial exhaust pipe 12 is provided with a wash water supply port 26 and a drain port 27 in the wall part of the exhaust pipe 3.
