ARRAY ANTENNA, ARRIVED WAVE ESTIMATE APPARATUS, AND METHOD OF COMPOSITING DATA FROM PLANAR ARRAY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide technology of using a linear array antenna to configure a virtual planar array in a communication system for transmitting a modulation wave and synthesizing data of the planar array antenna.

SOLUTION: The antenna configuration of the system includes a reference antenna element for correcting deviation in each sampling timing due to out of synchronism of a transmitter-receiver of the linear array antenna, the reference antenna detects a pilot signal to detect the phase deviation and corrects the phase of an information signal on the basis of the phase deviation. The phase deviation of the information signal is obtained from the phase deviation of the pilot signal detected by the reference antenna to correct the phase deviation of each linear array antenna. Thus, even when the arrived wave is a modulation wave, the phase change of each incoming wave caused by measuring moving the linear array antenna in parallel is corrected to accurately synthesize data of the planar array.
