PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a snow melting tank extremely effective as a snow removing measure in a snowy district. SOLUTION: This snow melting tank has a snow melting tank body 11 for inputting snow or a snow mass, and a cover 12 constituted so as to open and close an opening part of the snow melting tank body 11. The cover 12 is opened, and strong and high pressure underground water is injected into the snow or the snow mass S inputted in the snow melting tank body 11 from a plurality of injection nozzles 21 of a water discharge pipe 20 installed in the cover 12, to melt its snow. The underground water is supplied to the water discharge pipe 20 via an underground water supply pipe 23 by a pumping-up pump 22.
