<p>A power supply apparatus of a switching regulator type, in which an input voltage is converted and applied to a smoothing circuit and an output from the smoothing circuit is a predetermined output voltage, comprises a control circuit that generates, by use of PWM system, a control signal such that the output is the predetermined output voltage; and a switching element that is switched by the control signal to convert the input voltage and apply it to the smoothing circuit. The connection and disconnection of a path for supplying an operation power to the elements constituting the control circuit are switched based on an external signal that turns on and off the output of the output voltage.</p> |
