<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for producing medicinal water, which is provided with a raw water heating unit, an activated carbon-used filtration unit, an alkali adding unit and a multistage reverse osmosis membrane unit and in which the activated carbon-used filtration unit is sterilized hydrothermally and the pH of a filtrate obtained from the hydrothermally sterilized activated carbon-used filtration unit is not lowered substantially. <P>SOLUTION: Spherical activated carbon obtained by forming powdery coal-based activated carbon into a spherical shape by using a binder is used as the activated carbon of the activated carbon-used filtration unit 10. As a result, the pH of the filtrate obtained from the hydrothermally sterilized activated carbon-used filtration unit is not lowered only by sterilizing the activated carbon-used filtration unit hydrothermally around three times. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
