<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle seat which reduces movement of a occupant to the right and left by increasing friction between the occupant and the seat back when acceleration in a lateral direction is generated. <P>SOLUTION: The seat is provided with a seat cushion mounted on the vehicle and the upper part and lower part of the seat back fitted so as to be reclined with respect to the seat cushion. The relative angles of the upper part and lower part of the seat back are variable. Then, the seat is provided with: a seat drive judging part 102 for controlling an angle formed by the seat cushion and the seat back and an angle formed by the lower part and the upper part of the seat back; and a lateral direction acceleration detection means 115 for detecting acceleration in a lateral direction acting on the vehicle. According to the acceleration in the lateral direction obtained by the detection means 115, the angle formed by the seat cushion and the seat back and the angle formed by the lower part and the upper part of the seat back are adjusted to increase the friction between the occupant and the seat back. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
