PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal vacuum testing machine for reducing an irregular degree of the temperature of a cooling shroud caused during the period from the start of cooling to completion thereof. SOLUTION: A rectangular paralleleped frame 2 is provided in a vacuum chamber 1 and a plurality of units, each of which is composed of a test piece panel 4, a space 10 and a cooling shroud 3 successively from below, stacked in the frame 2. Liquid nitrogen pipings 5a and 5b are provided to the cooling shroud 3 so as to be meandered respectively. In a plurality of stages of the units, the flows of liquid nitrogen in the respective liquid nitrogen pipings 5a and 5b are reversed alternately stage by stage. That is, a stage wherein liquid nitrogen flows through the liquid nitrogen pipings 5a and 5b from a side end part 60 to a central part 50 and a stage wherein liquid nitrogen flows through the liquid nitrogen pipings 5a and 5b from the central part 50 to the side end part 60 are alternately stacked.
