An actuator comprising a piezoelectric element (12), and a mechanism (14) having a movable part moving depending on the displacement of the piezoelectric element and enlarging the displacement of the piezoelectric element. A restriction member (30) is secured to the movable part through an elastic body or a viscoelastic body (32) and resonance peak of the actuator is reduced by converting oscillation energy at the movable part into thermal energy through deformation of the elastic body or the viscoelastic body.
