PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a masterbatch which can simultaneously bring about the mutually contradictory effects of the retention of the physical properties of a resin and a reduction in cost, and the prevention of unevenness in coloring. SOLUTION: A recessed thickness-decreased part 2 such as a recess, a groove or a hole is formed in the outer surface of the pellet of the masterbatch 1, so that the unit weight of the pellet can be reduced. Pellet outer dimensions of a virtual pellet shape, wherein outer surfaces of protrusions 3 relatively formed of the thickness-decreased part 2 are virtually joined to each other, are made to approximate to those of a natural resin to be mixed, to a degree which does not cause classification.
