PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a droplet jet apparatus which can emit a jet of microfine droplet so as to realize high-image-quality and high-resolution printing. SOLUTION: This droplet jet apparatus is equipped with: an actuator 21 for imparting ejection pressure to a pressure chamber 110 wherein ink is stored; a nozzle 8a which communicates with the pressure chamber 110, which can emit a jet of main droplet 61 with a flying orbit 101, and which emits a jet of satellite droplet 63 with a volume smaller than the main droplet 61 along with the jet of the main droplet 61; and a nozzle 8b which communicates with the pressure chamber 110, and which emits a jet of main droplet 62 with a flying orbit 102 crossing the flying orbit 101 at an intersecting point X. Additionally, the droplet jet apparatus is also equipped with a controller for controlling the actuator 21, and a platen roller for carrying paper. The controller controls the actuator 21 so that the main droplets 61 and 62 can collide with each other at the intersecting point X and form a united droplet 64, and so that the satellite droplet 63 can reach the paper.
