PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To select a visual design of each push button which could be the face of a portable telephone in response to preference and requirements of a person who has acquired it (user) after completing and shipping the portable telephone. SOLUTION: This portable telephone is supplied with no marking put on the push buttons of its ten keys, and it is made so that the person who has acquired it (user) can mark any optional letter, symbol, pattern, photograph or the like on each button within limits that they are not contrary to the function of each push button. The supplier of the portable telephone or the person concerned prepares a plurality of marking plans in advance to show them to the user, and provides a service to apply laser markings such as letters, symbols and the like to the push buttons for the user who has selected one marking including possible variations.
