PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a belt cleaner applicable to a belt conveyor being generally used in a steel plant or a mine for removing deposits from a belt, having improved deposit removing efficiency and requiring a smaller installation space. SOLUTION: The belt cleaner comprises a support 2, elastic bodies 3, removing members 4, and thin grooves 5. The removing members 4 are plate-shaped with their wide faces in contact with the belt 52, and the thin grooves 5 inclined at preset anglesθto a feeding direction A of the belt 52 are formed between the adjacent removing members 4.
