PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tapered roller bearing by which a running torque can be lessened. SOLUTION: An outward end surface 15 in the diameter direction of a small-diameter annular part 12 of a cage 10 is located more inwardly in the diameter direction than a pitch conical surface P of the tapered roller 3, while an inward end surface 16 in the diameter direction of a large-diameter annular part 13 is located more outwardly in the diameter direction than the pitch conical surface P. Further, an opposed part 18 against the small-diameter surface of the tapered roller 3 in the small-diameter annular part 12 is located more inwardly in the diameter direction than the pitch conical surface P, while an opposed part 19 against the large-diameter surface of the tapered roller 3 in the large-diameter annular part 13 is located more outwardly in the diameter direction than the pitch conical surface P.
