Pumping device for a fluid

The pump device for especially an abrasive fluid has a cylinder casing (15) in which moves a piston element (20) through volume change of a working chamber (12) for the fluid. A piston seal (21) is fitted between the piston element and cylinder casing to seal the working chamber. A chamber (10) to hold a blocking fluid is provided on the piston seal side facing away from the working chamber, and means are provided to adapt the pressure in the blocking chamber to the pressure in the working chamber. Independent claims are also included for the following: (A) a fluid grinding machine equipped with the pump device as specified in the invention; and (B) a method for the feed of especially an abrasive fluid using the proposed pump device.
