The system consists of cable(s) (10) and a signal processor, with each cable comprising a solid or hollow cylindrical core (11) supporting >=3 optical fibres (12) that are locally parallel in peripheral grooves (15,16,17). Each of the fibres has a transducer(s) with a Bragg network, and the processor has a wave length multiplexer and allows measurement by Brillouin reflectometry method.
