<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a redundant path control apparatus allowing a host computer to presume an access failure without stopping an operation of the host computer. <P>SOLUTION: For instance, when maintenance work is performed on a controller 11, information indicating that the controller 11 is undergoing maintenance work is stored in a controller 12. A redundancy driver 4 of the host computer 1 designates a path on the controller 11 side to logical discs 13-15, and causes the host computer 1 to access the logical discs 13-15.
