<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high temperature/high pressure treatment method capable of oxidation-decomposing a nitrogen-containing organic compound under a sub-critical condition without discharging nitrous oxide into an exhaust gas. <P>SOLUTION: The nitrogen-containing organic compound such as a sewage sludge and a garbage is oxidation-decomposed under a high temperature/high pressure condition of critical pressure or less and critical temperature or higher of water and nitrous oxide generated in this step is decomposed/treated. Specifically, the nitrogen-containing organic compound is oxidation-decomposed under the high temperature/high pressure condition, the temperature is lowered to the critical temperature or lower under the high pressure condition to perform gas/liquid separation and the separated gas is brought into contact with a nitrous oxide decomposition catalyst to perform decomposition treatment of nitrous oxide. Further, the decomposition treatment of nitrous oxide can be performed by raising the temperature of the separated gas to decomposition temperature of nitrous oxide instead of the catalyst. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
