<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a receiving apparatus capable of partially regenerating a signal transmitted at low transmission rate with proper image quality, in the apparatus for receiving a signal encoded and for transmitting and regenerating the signal, wherein the transmission of a moving picture with proper image quality is difficult, especially at low transmission rate. <P>SOLUTION: In the moving picture receiving apparatus, a data stream of each GOP is separated from an inputted data stream, a data stream of GOP is extracted intermittently from a buffer which performs output at a transfer rate higher than that of the input, the data stream is decoded and a motion picture is obtained in the term wherein data streams come, and a decoded picture is held as a static picture and outputted, when data streams do not come. Furthermore, the data stream of each GOP is separated from the inputted data stream, the data stream of GOP is extracted intermittently from a buffer, which performs output at a transfer rate higher than that of the input, the data stream of GOP unit is held in a ring buffer, the data of the same GOP are decoded repeatedly, until the following data stream arrives, and a moving picture is obtained and outputted. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
