PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary electric component and its mounting structure for highly precisely positioning a knob at a panel, and for preventing any stress from being imposed on the connecting terminal of the rotary type electric component. SOLUTION: This rotary electronic component is provided with housings 1 and 7 having mounting parts to be positioned and mounted at a panel 11, a rotary shaft 5 held so as to be rotatable by the housings 1 and 7 and projected to a direction crossing the panel 11, signal detecting means 2a and 4 stored in the housings 1 and 7 for detecting signals according to the rotation of the rotary shaft 5, and an external connecting terminal 2b extended to the bottom face sides of the housings 1 and 7 for outputting the detection signals of the signal detecting means 2a and 4. The external connecting terminal 2b is projected from the bottom faces of the housings 1 and 7, and constituted of a slider 2c which can slide to a circuit board 12. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
