The locking device for doors on vehicles of public local and long distance transport systems has a seal on one of the opposite lying edges of the door leaf and door aperture (1) with the door closed. A locking band is movable along the aforesaid closing edge (1.1) and upon it is installed one or more locking elements which interact with mating elements on the opposite edge. With movement of the locking band by a predetermined distance the locking elements engage in or behind the mating elements in such a way to effect locking of the door leaf in the aperture. The movement of the locking band is by means of a hydraulic, pneumatic, or electric actuator (7). |
