PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To forecast a vulcanization performance of a tread pattern in a simple process. SOLUTION: The invention is related to a forecasting method of forecasting the vulcanization performance of the tread pattern of a tire. The method comprises a step of dividing the tread pattern into a plurality of estimation blocks each being defined as a criteria for estimating vulcanization performance, a step of calculating volume of each estimation block, a step of calculating by dividing each estimation block into at least a first mold contact area in contact with a first mold member having a big heat capacity and a second mold contact area in contact with a second mold member having a small heat capacity, and a step of calculating a vulcanization judgement value related to a vulcanization time from a forecasting formula using a first vulcanization parameter or a ratio of the first mold contact area to the volume and a second vulcanization parameter or a ratio of the second mold contact area to the volume as independent variables both having different contribution respectively.
