PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for simply and efficiently producing a composite molding in which a skin of a thermoplastic resin sheet overlies the surface of a foamed thermoplastic resin molding, a production apparatus used for the method, and the composite molding obtained by the method. SOLUTION: In the method for producing the composite molding, the edge of a thermoplastic resin sheet 2 is fitted to the sheet fitting part 6 of a frame material 5 to extend the sheet on the frame material, and the frame material is fitted to the female mold 4 of a mold 1. After the sheet is heated and softened, the male mold and the female mold are clamped. By pressing the sheet by a projection 3A formed in the male mold 3, the sheet is molded in the mold, and the sheet contacts the male mold side, next, foamed thermoplastic resin particles are packed between the female mold and the sheet. Next, the mold is heated with steam for molding in the mold. The skin of the sheet overlies the surface of the foamed thermoplastic molding, and the composite molding in which the frame material is joined to the edge is produced. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
