PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a standing tree dyeing method excellent in decorative properties and productivity, dyed timber obtained thereby and a structure. SOLUTION: In the standing tree dyeing method, the water absorbing capability of a standing tree 100 is utilized to inject a dye in the standing tree 100. The standing tree 100 is dyed using at least one dye selected from an acidic dye, a reactive dye and a direct dye and a basic dye. Then, during a period from March to November, the dye is injected in the standing tree 100. If a dye solution which is prepared by mixing at least one dye selected from the acidic dye, the reactive dye and the direct dye with the basic dye is used to dye the standing tree, multicolor dyed timber having a peculiar hue not a merely mixed color but a complicated mixed dye color is obtained.
