FADING FREQUENCY ESTIMATING CIRCUIT AND METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fading frequency estimating circuit and fading frequency estimating method for estimating a fading frequency without depending on the quality of a received signal.

SOLUTION: A delay detection circuit 104-1 and a delay detection circuit 104-2 detect delay pilot signals at prescribed time intervals at different time intervals. An absolute value calculation circuit 105-1 and an absolute value calculation circuit 105-2 take the absolute value of a result of delay detection with Q components of an IQ plane. An equalization circuit 106-1 and an equalization circuit 106-2 take the average of absolute values of Q components in a frame. An inter-finger equalization circuit and an inter-finger equalization circuit 107-2 take the average of absolute values of Q components between fingers, A difference detection circuit 108 takes a difference of results obtained by performing delay detection at time intervals different from each other. An fd determination circuit 109 uses a conversion table held inside to estimate an fd frequency from phase rotation.
