<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a copolyester resin composition for injection molding which shows good transparency, color tone, and mold-release property and little change in color tone after gamma-radiation sterilization, has a small elution amount, and is suitably used for a medical device. <P>SOLUTION: The copolyester resin composition for injection molding contains 5-300 ppm of at least one element chosen from Ge and Al, is composed of a dicarboxylic acid component containing 60-95 mol% terephthalic acid, 4.9-35 mol% isophthalic acid, and 0.1-5 mol% 15-40C aliphatic mono- or dicarboxylic acid and a glycol component containing 65-100 mol% ethylene glycol, and has an intrinsic viscosity of 0.50-0.90 dl/g and a melting point of 180-245°C. The copolymerized polyester resin composition has (1) a Haze of ≤1.0 per 4 mm thickness, (2) a yellowness index (YI) of ≤8.0, (3) an elution amount of ≤3 ppm in water over 5 hr at 50°C and (4) a mold-release resistance of ≤1.5 kN at a mold temperature of 50°C. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
