PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubbish storing and discharging device capable of storing rubbish efficiently in the sufficiently compressed condition and discharging the rubbish efficiently and smoothly. SOLUTION: The rubbish storing and discharging device is equipped with a transport path 2 extending upward aslant from the bottom 21 to the top 23 and furnished at the bottom 21 with a cast-in hole 24 to admit casting-in of the rubbish and at the top 23 with a discharge hole 25 opened to below, a cast-in means 3 arranged confronting the cast-in part 24 for casting in the rubbish to the bottom 21 of the transport part 2, a discharge lid 4 installed at the discharge part 25 for opening and closing the discharge hole 25, and a transport plate 5 arranged capable of being reciprocated by a moving means 6 in the transport path 24 from the bottom 21 to the top 23 for transporting to the discharge part 25 the rubbish cast in from the cast-in part 24 to the transport path 2.
