PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pulverizing method using a ball for pulverization for reducing loads acting on a rotation member when activating a dry type pulverizing apparatus especially and easily removing foreign matters included in a treating object inside a cylindrical main body. SOLUTION: The method is for pulverizing an object to be treated by providing the cylindrical main body 3 and the rotation member 5 disposed inside the cylindrical main body 3 and provided with a rotary blade 4 and rotating the rotation member 5 under the presence of the plurality of balls 6 for the pulverization. After rotating the rotation member 5, the balls 6 for the pulverization are charged into the cylindrical main body 3, then the object to be treated is fed, the object to be treated is pulverized, and the balls 6 for the pulverization are discharged together with the treated object including pulverized objects.
