The temperature raster (1) may be produced by first (2) and second (3) interlaced square-section tubes carrying hot (M1) and cold (M2) fluid. The tubes produce a sharply-defined pattern of hot and cold bars on the surface of the mirror. The hot and cold bars produce controlled changes of shape of the reflective surface of the mirror. Light reflected from the raster may be reflected from a test object into a camera.
