METHOD FOR RECOVERING NICKEL FROM WASHING WATER IN NICKEL PLATING PROCESS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for recovering nickel from washing water in a nickel plating process where almost the whole of nickel in washing water can be recovered and reused without enlarging a device therefor.

SOLUTION: In the method for recovering nickel from washing water in a nickel plating process composed of: a stage where alkali is added to washing water after nickel plating to regulate its pH, and nickel ions in the washing water are made into nickel hydroxide; a stage where the produced nickel hydroxide is separated from the washing water; and a stage where the separated nickel hydroxide is dissolved to recover nickel, before the stage where the nickel hydroxide is separated from the washing water, a stage where diatomaceous earth is added to the washing water is included.
