PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To uniformly disperse a layered clay mineral in an epoxy resin after suppressing the deterioration of thermal resistance or the like of a resin cured substance by a dispersing medium in dispersion of the layered clay mineral in the epoxy resin as a thermosetting resin. SOLUTION: The insulating resin composite for high voltage equipment contains as an essential component (A) an epoxy resin having an epoxy group of two or more per one molecule, (B) an epoxy resin curing agent, (C) layered clay mineral, (D) a dispersing medium containing a reactive solvent. The high voltage equipment insulating material 1 is composed of a cured substance of such a high voltage equipment insulating resin composite, and the layered clay mineral 3 is uniformly dispersed in the epoxy resin cured substance 2 having a 3-dimensional network structure.
