PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital filter wherein a processing load and a processing time for filter computation can be enhanced. SOLUTION: The digital filter carries out filter computation by multiplying a corresponding filter coefficient with N sets of data sampled at a prescribed time period and integrating the results. N-sets of the data are stored and (2 sets minus one coefficient) of the filter coefficients are stored, wherein one set indicates N sets of filter coefficients corresponding to N sets of the data. Then N sets of the filter coefficients are sequentially read from the filter coefficient corresponding to the data stored at the head address of N sets of data storage areas and N sets of the data are read to carry out the filter computation. Thus, the processing load required to read the data and the filter coefficients can be reduced and the processing time of the filter computation can be enhanced. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
