PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel technique capable of continuing control even when abnormality is generated in one portion of a plurality of sensors. SOLUTION: When outputs from the two sensors 165a, 165b are respectively within normal output ranges, change patterns of the outputs from the two sensors are investigated to detect the generation of the abnormality in one of the sensors. When the abnormality is detected, a control input is determined using the output from the normal sensor. Alternatively, the control inputs obtained from the outputs from the two sensors 165a, 165b are not used when the substantially consistent control inputs are not obtained from the outputs from the two sensors, and the control inputs obtained from the outputs from the two sensors are used when the substantially matched control inputs are obtained from the outputs from the two sensors.
