<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display method which can realize the more novel performance. <P>SOLUTION: In an image display method, an optical modulator is irradiated with the light emitted from a plurality of LEDs 61r, a plurality of LED 61g and a plurality of LEDs 61b to modulate the light through the light modulator so that the light modulated is projected from the rear side of the display part to display an image on the display part. When the prescribed conditions are met, a control processing of lighting or extinguishing parts of the LEDs 61r, 61g and 61b is so executed that the quantity of light made to irradiate a partial area of the light demodulator differs from that of the light made to irradiate the other areas except for the part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
