PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable to alleviate remarkably a calculating load as compared with a conventional technology, and to adaptively control a main beam to a desired wave signal so that a null level is directed in the direction of an interference wave signal. SOLUTION: The control method of an array antenna includes the steps of adaptively controlling the main beam in the direction of the desired wave signal so that the null is formed in the direction of the interference wave signal, based on a plurality of reception signals received by the array antenna 20 and including a coding bit interleave coded by a predetermined coding method; repeatedly performing the calculation of covariance matrix of the array antenna which maximizes a received signal vector by using an expected value maximization method, the calculation of the weight for adaptively controlling the main beam in the direction of the desired wave signal to form the null level in the direction of the interference wave signal using this covariance matrix, the calculation of a symbol estimate value using the weight, and the reconfiguration of the received signal vector using the symbol estimate value; repeating the formation of the main beam which suppresses co-channel interference; and performing it.
