<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a product tracing system managing information regarding a product in each process of production, distribution, and selling from first to last on the basis of a two dimensional code, and facilitating acquisition of the information by a consumer. <P>SOLUTION: A product tracing management server in the product tracing system acquires production history information regarding the product from a first portable terminal of a producer, and it generates two dimensional code information including simplified information regarding the product, and connection information to the product tracing management server by using at least one part of the production history information. The generated two dimensional code information is sent to a client device of a delivery group. The client device generates and prints out the two dimensional code to be attached to the product on the basis of the two dimensional code information. In the system, a second portable terminal of a distribution seller reads the two dimensional code attached to the product, and it registers distribution selling history information concerning the product in the product tracing management server by using reading of the two dimensional code as a trigger. The consumer reads the two dimensional code attached to the product by a third portable terminal, and information contents indicated by the two dimensional code is displayed using reading of the two dimensional code as a trigger. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
