<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform a registration work without taking out an article in a basket using a radio tag and to surely check registration of erroneous article price by a trouble of radio communication and when a customer intentionally replaces the radio tag with a radio tag with other articles. <P>SOLUTION: Weight of the basket in which the article is put is measured with a scale. Then, inquiry is performed to the radio tag of the article in the basket by a radio tag reader and an article identification code is received. At this time, if there is an article weight value, it is also received. An article name and an article price of the applicable article are read from an article information file by the received article identification code. The article name, the article price and the article weighting value obtained in this way are registered in a file by every customer.
